TK CLUB (Treasured Kids Club)

TK CLUB is a club on Monday evenings from 4:15 – 5:30 pm term time only. For children in school year Reception to Year 6.

The children come in and stamp their treasure chest cards and when they have 6 stamps they can go to the treasure chest and choose a prize.

Then they go into their groups and play a game involving sweets or biscuits! They also have a drink and biscuit if they only had a little sweet. (they get very hungry after school bless them!)

We have birthday time and we sing happy birthday and the birthday child chooses a prize from the treasure chest.

After that we watch a youtube clip about the theme.

Then we split into two groups and one group makes a craft activity connected to the story and the older ones make a film about the story.

We all join together for an action song and then sit in a large circle to play hunt the treasure! A child from each group is selected to hunt for a small wooden treasure chest that contains a lolly or small sweet for each child with a bible memory verse attached.Whoever finds the chest hands out the sweets at the end and reads out the memory verse in the microphone! It's very exciting!

We end by singing the blessing song, saying the Lord's prayer together and a child volunteers to pray out loud at the end...this is the best bit and the prayers that are prayed often blow us away!

Just come along to join in the fun. Parents will need to fill in a consent form. There is no charge for this group as we like to bless our families.

ABZORB (Youth Group)

ABZORB is a group for young people from Year 7 upwards.

On Monday evenings from 7 – 8.30 pm during term time only

ABZORB is great fun and a time to get together with an awesome group of young people and devoted leaders and learn about Jesus and how we can help others in really fun ways.

We have been away to PGL on an adventure weekend, run a 'Youth Alpha' course, listened to incredible testimonies from different  of people in the church, learnt about discipleship and are currently working with Lizzie Whitbread (Youth Advisor for Salisbury Diocese) and Colin Brady (Social Justice person for Salisbury Diocese) on a social justice scheme and how we can help raise an awareness of  Refugees in our area and further beyond.

Messy Church

Messy Church is approximately every 4 - 6 weeks in place of TK CLUB. This is a time when the children can bring their family along and have fun together making crafts, playing games, having a story and singing songs. The children always love what they've made and we always make sure there's an edible craft available!  We then sit down to enjoy toast and crumpets and tea together. It's a really lovely evening which runs at the same time of 4.15 - 5.30 pm. Everyone is welcome and any donations towards the cost are always gratefully received.

Take 5 Lunchtime Club

Every Monday lunchtime we go into Hillbourne Primary School and run a lunchtime club called Take 5 for children in Reception to Year 2.  As we walk across the playground the children love giving us a 'high 5' and say 'take 5'. We have a lovely time singing a couple of action songs and then tell a story using large visual aids. We also love leading assemblies at the school and are always made to feel so welcome. As there is no school in Creekmoor it is so important to have links with this school and are very grateful to them for having us.

Chatterbox baby clinic

Chatterbox (baby clinic) runs every Wednesday in the church from 9:30- 11:00 am. Weigh your baby and chat with the Health Visitors at the baby clinic, and join us at Chatterbox!

Chatterbox runs alongside the clinic and the floor is full of blankets and toys where babies and toddlers can play happily. Adults can chat and make new friends too.

At 10.30 am all toys are cleared away for our lively ‘Sing-a-long’ time with musical instruments. Just come along and join in the fun!

Under Ones Group

Under Ones Group runs on alternate Wednesday mornings at 11 am and is by invitation only (through Michelle Holland the Health Visiting Nursery Nurse)

The group is especially for new mums who find it difficult to cope in large groups and is more of a nurturing group compared to Chatterbox which is open to everyone.

We have group discussions with various topics and finish with a story or singing lullabies.

Little Oaks Pre-School

Our Little Oaks Pre-school runs in the Youth Centre, Monday to Fridays.

We are inspected by Ofsted and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. All staff are qualified and our manager is a qualified teacher. We take children from the age of 2 years.

Here is our latest Ofsted report

PlayZone

PlayZone is for adults, dots and tots and runs in the church on Tuesday afternoons from 1 pm – 2:45 pm during term time only.

We have a Café area which serves yummy homemade cakes and hot drinks all reasonably priced so you can treat yourselves. There are play areas inside and outside (weather dependent!) including a large ball pool with slide, play tunnels, ride on toys, dressing up clothes, play kitchen, Happyland toys, Brio train set, puzzles, playdough, baby dolls, pushchairs, construction toys and much more including a baby play area. (toys are rotated each week).

At  2 pm the Cafe closes and all toys are cleared away so we have a big space to sit in a circle for birthday time and our story time (when we often use puppets). All stories are based on the bible and are great fun especially with the puppets taking part! Then we make a good quality craft activity afterwards that's connected with the story and we clear everything away again so we have plenty of space to play musical instruments and sing and dance to our action songs.

We finish with a blessing song for everyone in our circle and followed by a very short prayer.

This is an absolutely lovely, welcoming, nurturing group complete with fab Grandparents too! People come from all over to attend the group and we love to welcome new people!

The cost is just £1 per family.
