Prayer is at the heart of our life together, shaping our worship, guiding our decisions, and knitting us closer as a community. This week, we have three distinct prayer gatherings—each offering a different way to connect with God and one another. Whether you’re new to Christian prayer or have been with us for years, you’ll find a warm welcome and meaningful opportunity to pray.

1. Prayer Walk

ree

When: Saturday, 28th June at 11 am

Where: Meet at the front entrance of the church

Our Prayer Walk offers a chance to pray while moving, lifting our neighbourhood before the Lord. We’ll follow a gentle 45-minute route around Creekmoor, pausing at key locations—local homes, the community centre, and nearby green spaces—to intercede for families, schools, shops, and public services. Walking together both deepens our fellowship and helps us pray more attentively for the places we live and work.

Invitations have been emailed to regular participants; if you haven’t received yours or would like to join us for the first time, please sign up via the email invite or through this link: Sign up for Prayer Walk. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water—feel free to walk at your own pace.

2. Intercessory Prayer

ree

When: Thursday evenings at 5 pm

Where: Church sanctuary (follow the signs to the side chapel)

Each Thursday, we hold a 40-minute session of intercessory prayer, focusing on our church family, local community, and global concerns. We pray for those who are sick or grieving, for our schools and local services, and for pressing world events. The format includes a brief Scripture reading, an open time of prayers, and time for silent reflection.

Please note: There will be no intercessory prayer meeting on Thursday, 26th June. Our next gathering will be on Thursday, 3rd July at 5 pm.

3. Morning Prayer & Communion

ree

When & Where:

  • Tuesdays at 9 am (weekly) – Morning Prayer in the side chapel

  • Thursdays at 9 am

    • 1st, 3rd & 5th Thursdays: Morning Prayer

    • 2nd & 4th Thursdays: Holy Communion

Our Morning Prayer services follow the structure of the Book of Common Prayer, offering psalms, readings, and canticles in a quiet, reflective atmosphere. On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion, sharing bread and wine as we remember Christ’s sacrifice and renew our unity as his body.

Morning Prayer is a straightforward, 25-minute service—perfect for starting your day with Scripture and prayer. Whether you’re heading to work, caring for family, or simply seeking a peaceful moment, you’ll find a hospitable space here.

Why Join These Prayer Gatherings?

  • Strengthen Your Faith: Praying with others encourages perseverance and trust in God’s faithfulness.

  • Build Community: Each gathering fosters deeper relationships as we bear one another’s burdens.

  • Pray with Purpose: Walking, interceding, and gathering each bring unique rhythms that focus our prayers on people, places, and purposes.

All ages and stages of faith are welcome. If you need more information please contact the church office at office@christchurchcreekmoor.org.uk or call 01202 555 555. We look forward to praying with you this week.
